Our lambswool homeware, knitwear and accessories are woven and knitted in Scotland and Portugal, before being finished by hand in our London studio.
The wool comes from sheep in the Geelong area of Australia, a region known for producing the world’s finest yarns.
Lambswool comes from the first shearing, meaning it’s the softest, downiest wool that will ever come from the sheep. Once shorn, the fibres of the wool and cleaned and carded to remove any dirt and impurities, before being twisted and spun into yarn.
We work with several spinners, but the majority of our yarns are spun in a 200-year old, family-owned and run mill in the heart of the Yorkshire Pennines.
All of the yarns used to make our products are Oeko-Tex certified, meaning that they are free from harmful dyes and other substances, and safe to be in contact with skin.
We hate the idea of waste, so we gather up any knitted offcuts from our production process so that they can be used elsewhere. Bigger offcuts are recycled for use in our Make Your Own kits, while smaller scraps are shredded and turned into woolly stuffing for our knitted creatures and craft kits.
